30 Foot Aluminum Light Pole
A 30-foot tapered, round aluminum light pole is a versatile, corrosion-resistant outdoor structure commonly used for area and roadway lighting.
Key Physical Characteristics
Height: 30 feet (approx. 9.14 meters) from ground level to the top of the pole shaft (excluding luminaire).
Material: Fabricated from high-strength aluminum alloy (typically 6063-T6 or 6061-T6), offering a lightweight structure with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
Construction: Seamless or welded tapered round tube. Wall thickness tapers from thickest at the base (typically ~0.25 in / 6 mm) to thinner at the top (~0.16 in / 4 mm).
Base Plate: A steel anchor plate is welded to the pole bottom for foundation connection. For a 30-ft pole, it is typically an 18″x18″ square or 20″ diameter circle, ~0.75 in thick, with four or more bolt holes.
Finish: Typically mill finish, anodized, or powder-coated for durability and aesthetics.
Accessories: Includes a handhole/door for electrical access, internal cable conduit, and often a grounding provision.
Typical Applications
Street lighting
Parking lot illumination
Perimeter security lighting
Sports field lighting (as part of a system)
