Anodized and Powder-Coated Finish Options
Anodized and powder-coated finishes can be selected according to the project appearance, exposure conditions and maintenance requirements. Color, coating thickness and pretreatment are confirmed before production.
Anodized Aluminum Finish
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, protective aluminum oxide finish. Unlike paint or coating, anodizing is integral to the aluminum substrate — it cannot peel, chip, or flake. The result is a hard, durable surface that enhances the natural metallic beauty of aluminum while providing exceptional protection.
- Film Thickness: 10μm – 25μm (standard), up to 50μm (hard anodize)
- Corrosion Resistance: specified and verified according to the approved finish requirement
- UV performance: confirmed for the selected anodizing or coating system
- Surface hardness: specified according to the required anodizing process
- Colors Available: Silver (natural), Bronze, Champagne, Black, Gold, Custom
- Environmental documentation and RoHS requirements confirmed per project
- Maintenance: periodic inspection and cleaning scheduled according to the exposure environment
Powder Coated Finish
Powder coating applies a dry electrostatic powder that is cured under heat to form a continuous, tough polymer film. Our multi-stage pretreatment + dual-layer powder coating system delivers superior weather resistance and unlimited color options, meeting the most demanding architectural and infrastructure specifications worldwide.
- Film Thickness: 80μm – 120μm (dual-layer system)
- Corrosion Resistance: 5,000+ hours salt spray test (ASTM B117)
- Adhesion Rating: Class 0 (ASTM D3359) — maximum adhesion
- Flexibility: Passes 2T bend test without cracking (ASTM D522)
- Colors: Full RAL color chart — 200+ standard colors available
- Textures: Smooth, textured, wrinkled, metallic, and hammered finishes
- Pretreatment: 7-stage wash with chromate-free nano-ceramic primer
When to Choose Anodizing
Ideal for coastal areas, high-salinity environments, and projects requiring a natural metallic appearance. Anodized finishes are particularly suited for architectural specifications that call for the authentic look and feel of bare metal. The integral oxide layer provides permanent protection without any risk of delamination.
When to Choose Powder Coating
Best for projects requiring specific brand colors, municipal color schemes, or architectural matching. Powder coating offers the widest color and texture range, making it ideal for decorative street lighting, parks, and urban design projects where visual identity matters. Superior impact resistance for high-traffic areas.
S-Shaped Aluminum Pole Manufacturing Process
Production steps may include extrusion, forming, machining, welding where required, surface preparation, finishing and inspection. Manufacturing and inspection requirements follow the approved product drawing and order documentation.
Aluminum Extrusion
Premium 6063-T5 aluminum billets heated to 500°C and extruded through precision dies to form the S-curved pole profile with consistent wall thickness.
Welding & Forming
TIG/MIG welding of base plates, junction boxes, and arm assemblies. S-curve bending performed on CNC mandrel benders for smooth, wrinkle-free curves.
Surface Treatment
Multi-stage pretreatment followed by anodizing at 18°C sulfuric acid bath (15-20μm) or powder coating application with 200°C cure cycle.
Quality Inspection
100% dimensional check, film thickness gauge testing, adhesion cross-cut test, salt spray sample testing, and visual inspection per AQL 2.5 standards.
Packaging
Protective foam wrapping, corrugated cardboard sleeve, and steel frame crating for container loading. Custom packaging available for OEM orders.
Global Shipping
FOB, CIF, DDP terms available. Container-optimized design reduces shipping volume by 40% vs. round poles. Full export documentation and certificates.
S-Shaped Light Pole Applications
S-shaped aluminum light poles are suitable for urban streets, parks, campuses, residential developments and commercial landscapes that require a distinctive curved profile. For conventional roadway configurations, compare our aluminum single arm light pole and broader street light pole solutions.
Urban Streets & Roads
Primary and secondary road lighting with 8-12m poles. S-curved arm provides optimal luminaire positioning for uniform light distribution across lanes.
Parks & Gardens
Decorative 6-8m poles with architectural finishes. Anodized silver or custom colors blend seamlessly with landscape design for pedestrian pathways.
Highways & Expressways
10-12m high poles engineered for 150km/h wind zones. High-pressure sodium or LED luminaires deliver long-range illumination for safe night driving.
Commercial & Parking
6-8m poles for parking lots, shopping centers, and business districts. Powder coated in corporate colors for brand consistency.
Residential Areas
Compact 6m poles with warm-tone LED fixtures for neighborhood streets. Low-profile S-curve design complements residential aesthetics.
Campus & Institutions
Customized poles for universities, hospitals, and government campuses. Available with smart city IoT integration brackets and sensor mounts.
