Coordinating three pole families
Combining different pole materials and arm shapes in one project requires a controlled schedule for dimensions, luminaire mounting, finishes and installation details. Using the campus pole schedule effectively
The three configurations in this project serve different visual and functional roles. A coordinated submittal should show the pole IDs, installation areas, fixture positions and finish requirements for each family. The curved aluminum arm requires its own transport and connection review, while the taller steel double-arm pole has a different load path and installation sequence.
Where the design includes banner or flag attachments, those are additional loads rather than purely decorative accessories. The designer should define their dimensions, mounting height and permissible use before structural approval.
