Structural coordination

Documents needed for a custom canopy support
Unlike a conventional light pole, this support’s primary role is to carry a canopy. A useful design package should include the canopy’s actual shape, connection locations, governing load cases and foundation interface. The pole’s visible diameter is not enough to judge whether it is suitable for another airport or public-space project.
Before manufacture, the project team should agree on material certificates, welding procedures, examination scope and acceptance criteria where those are required by the approved specification. Transport and lifting arrangements should also be coordinated for the finished assembly. Any quoted wind speed or material strength should be traced to the relevant engineering documents before publication or reuse in a new design.
